What comes to your mind when you think of your hometown? Do you like it or just feel nothing special? To me, I love my country, Tanshui, the historic and lovely town.

There are so many things I like about Tanshui. One of them is the view. Speaking of Tanshui, sights about the sunset will come out. The sunset is just a part of the views. Every March in the mountain, the cherry will be in blossom. The cherry trees look like the young ladies in pink. How amazing it is.

 Besides the cherry blossom, I like the remains in Tanshui too. They were built 300 years ago. Most of them are castles, for the town had been a military base and a commercial port. If you want to enjoy the sunset, standing there will be a good choice. At the castle, you can see all the sight of River Tanshui, especially the sunset. Meanwhile, when I’m walking in the remains, I always feel so excited because I’m able to image what the life was like by observing the remains.

Accordingly, I’m proud to be a tanshuian. And I love there so much.

Dear Diary              

     I’ve always longed to have many good friends who is able to share happiness and sorrows, chat with me. Also, he is a wise person that can point out my mistake. Let me know what I should improve. In my class, I could hardly find a guy like that. However, I still knew a nice friend on the school bus. He is my schoolmate but one year younger than me. He lives in Tanshui, too. Soon we become good friends

Last Thursday was Valentine’s Day. He wanted to send some present to his girlfriend. As a result, he asked me teach him baking cookies. I promised him without any doubt. Then, I taught him bake cookies. (Actually we baked together.) Finally, He successfully sent his home-made present.

I was so joyful because there is someone appreciates my ability. Even I can help him by this ability. What a good friend I have.

The picture was taken at 3 o’clock 27th Sep last year, two days after Mid-Autumn Festival. The moon is the lightest and biggest I have ever seen before. Because I had heard the report that the moon in this day would be the most beautiful full moon in the last ten years, I woke up very early to catch this great view. As a result I climbed to the rooftop of my home and took it. In the picture, the bright moon was high above River Tamsui. And the reflection of the moon even made us know how bright the moon was.

On my son’s birthday, I gave him a puppy to be his birthday present. Before that I always saw him play alone. So I bought a doggy for him, my son loved it so much; meanwhile, he named the dog, John. Since then, my son and his own John had been together anytime, such as eatting, playing or taking a bath.

     One day, I brought my son and John to take a walk in the park. We enjoyed chatting with each other. Suddenly, my son stopped, looking for something anxiously. I asked him what he was looking for. He said nothing, just looking around. Therefore I realized that John had lost. After few minutes, my son burst into tears, told me John was gone and asked me to help him find it.

    Even though we have already searched all the neighbor of park, we still couldn’t find John. We are so tired that we decided to go home. When we arrived home, we saw a familiar figure behind the door. “That’s John.” my son thundered. He became happy because of John’s back.

      Kate’s mother is a campassionate woman and also a catlover. Once she met the stray cats, she pitied them and brought them home. Accordingly, there were many cats at her house, They always made the room a mess.

    One day, when Kate came home, she found that the room was a mess. Meanwhile, she saw a horrible thing-her favorite cauch was messed up, so was the lamp. Suddenly, Kate went out of control and flew into rage. She took a cat, argued with her mom.                                            
 ”Your pity for cats made me stressed out.” said Kate.                                                                                
“They are just cats. Please don’t make a fuss about it.” Mother answered.                                                
 ”But they mess up my room; above all, they broke my favorite cauch.”                                                         
Kate complained and asked her mother to allow her to bring the cats out. Because of Kate’s elquent presuasion; eventually, her mother agreeded.

     Then Kate helda kitty, bringing the cats to the “Stray Animals’ home”. However, Kate gradually found the cats were so cute and funny.

    After that, Kate always went to “Stray Animals’ home” to see and play with them. Just like her mom, she became attached to the cat, too.

     It was Feburary 14th, the Valentine’s Day, it was Mike’s girlfriend, Mary’s birthday too. As usual, Mary was making dinner, but something was brothing her─she wondered what the gift from her boyfriend would be. Her dog was satting and watching her. Actually, all he wanted was the food on dish.

    Suddenly, a gorilla was jumping out. Its huge body and horrible face scared Mary. She was so frightened that she diopped the plate and screaned. The kitchen was in a terrible mess. The dig was happy because he could finally eat the food.

    Mary couldn’t believe that a groill appeared in her houaw. As soon as the gorilla moved, said”Happy Valentine’s Day! and Birthday, my sweetheart” Mary stopped screaming. “You’re Mike!” said Mary. The gorilla took off hiss mask then gave Mary a bouquet of fresh flowers. Even alough they made the kitchen a mess, they loved each other more.
